Rob DesRoches was called to the bar in 2005 and joined Jordan Battista LLP in June, 2006. Rob’s practice areas include Immigration/Refugee and Real Estate.

Rob studied law at the University of Toronto where he received his Juris Doctor in 2004. While at law school, Rob was very active in numerous legal clinics and programs, representing numerous clients in Federal and Provincial Court as well as the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal. Rob was also active with Probono Students Canada, working at the law firm of Goodman and Carr LLP while completing his second year studies. During the summer of 2003, Rob worked at the HIV/AIDS Legal Clinic (Ontario), where he provided legal advice and representation in the areas of Immigration, Landlord/Tenant, Disability Insurance, Employment, and Human Rights.

Prior to joining Jordan Battista, Rob completed his articles with the Ministry of the Attorney General at the Legal Services Branch of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. After his call to the bar, Rob worked as Legal Counsel to the Ministry before moving to private practice.

Rob is also very active in the community. He volunteers his time on Sunday mornings to serve meals through the Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program. He is involved in community theatre, performing in French language productions in April 2005 and April 2006. Rob is also an avid volleyball player and is a member of the Toronto Spartan Volleyball League.
